Sepideh Nakisafar is a Designer and Job Captain at Saida + Sullivan Design Partners. She has over six years of design experience working on a variety of project types throughout the southwest and California. As a child, she developed a passion for fine arts and painting which eventually led her to architecture school. Sepideh received her Bachelor's Degree in Architecture in Iran. During her undergraduate years, she worked as an intern in a small architectural firm in Tehran during summers and joined the firm full time after graduation. She also worked as an interior designer at a larger firm in Karaj prior to relocating to the US in 2015 in order to pursue her Masters degree in Architecture at the University of New Mexico
Sepideh has worked on multi-family residential projects, higher-education, commercial, healthcare and office projects as Architectural and Interior Designer and Job Captain. Her primary focus is to produce environmentally friendly and human scaled structures, resolving challenges inherited in designing plans to be safe and compliant with ADA (American Disabilities Act) and ensuring the project meets the required and recommended national and state building codes. Sepideh engages in all phases of project from design ideas in form of presentations at early stages of design to translating the design into scaled drawings via Revit/CAD, resolving technical challenges utilizing BIM technology and quality control during the construction phase.
Sepideh is fascinated by details and fabrication and the challenges inherent in architectural projects. She relishes the opportunity to solve design problems as part of a team and believes communication in a team to be crucial in architecture field, her diverse background and previous collaboration with international firms have fostered an ease and eagerness to work in diverse environments.
Sepideh enjoys reading articles and books on art and philosophy. In her time off she loves to travel and enjoys outdoor activities, going on hikes in the beautiful redwood forests of Bay Area and biking along the ocean shores of Half Moon Bay.
